Capital One is one of the country’s most technology-centric financial service brands. In 2021, the industry leader introduced Venture X, its first entry into the premium travel card space.
This new travel rewards card features a full suite of high-end benefits and is packed with easy-to-use perks that elevate travel experiences. When it came time to back up the promise of a premium experience and engage with the customer in unique and refreshing ways, Capital One partnered with West Cary Group to assist with the product launch.

Venture X is one of Capital One’s most premium cards, with NerdWallet calling it one of the best cards of 2023. But it couldn’t have earned this recognition without some great teamwork.
Our partnership with Capital One spans more than 15 years, so we were thrilled to continue the collaboration. West Cary Group has a long history of creating consumer experiences that resonate and are relevant, so this ask was right up our alley. We pitched in by building new assets that supported the reimagined customer experience. Our team helped define the look and feel of Venture X with image exploration, premium design thinking, and elevated messaging. We also fine-tuned multiple touchpoints — like an onboarding email series designed to simplify the customer experience, as well as display ads on a popular travel website so that Capital One could meet people where they were within the customer journey.
