West Cary Group Strengthens Talent Pool with Veteran Executive
West Cary Group is pleased to announce that Barbara Joynes has joined the firm as our new Senior Vice President, Director of Account Management. As the newest member of our leadership team, she will oversee the strategic direction and operational execution of client engagements.
“We were drawn to Barbara because of her marketing pedigree,” says Moses Foster, president and CEO of West Cary Group and this year’s recipient of the Mike Hughes Ad Person of the Year Award. “We pursued her because of her performance marketing vision. She sees where the industry is going and how she can help us identify even more areas of opportunity to drive ROI for our clients.”
Joynes brings over 30 years of marketing experience to West Cary Group, having worked with clients such as Morgan Stanley, Saab and American Express. While at the Martin Agency, she rose to Partner, Executive Vice President. In 2012, she left to start her own consulting firm, Joynes-Knight Consulting.
“I’m impressed with how Moses has assembled expert talent and established a terrific agency culture,” says Joynes. “It compelled me to leave my own business. It’s exciting to help lead an agency that was created from the ground up and delivers data-driven marketing programs that boost bottom lines.”
Joynes is active in the community and previously served as president of the YWCA of Richmond and the College of William & Mary Alumni Association Board of Directors. Today she is a member of the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital Board of Trustees and the ChildFund International Board of Directors.
“Marketing agencies break away from the pack through adaptation and careful planning,” says Kristen Cavallo, president of Mullen Lowe Boston. “Moses continues to widen West Cary Group’s gap by adding a proven leader to his team. Barbara brings strong strategic and creative marketing expertise to the table. I can’t think of a more favorable pairing—both for the agency and for its clients.”
