West Cary Group Named Multiple Winner at 36th Annual Telly Awards
West Cary Group was recognized twice at the 36th Annual Telly Awards held earlier this month. Our agency earned two awards in the Regional TV & Multi-Market Cable category for commercials we created for the Union Bank & Trust “Happy Place” campaign.
“We’re honored that our work stood out among 2,000 entries submitted from 50 states and five continents,” says Moses Foster, President and CEO of West Cary Group. “There are two simple reasons that we won these awards: a fantastic client, Union, and a passionate West Cary Group team.”
The commercials were shot in April 2014 with the assistance of our long-term video production partner Park Group and noted director James Bartolomeo. The ads have been running on network and cable television in key Virginia markets since May.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “West Cary Group’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
West Cary Group is in the creative development stage for a new set of Union commercials expected to air on network and cable television during the second quarter of 2015.
“Union completed its acquisition of StellarOne in 2014 and became the largest community bank headquartered in Virginia,” continues Foster. “Clearly, they are a premier Virginia brand, and as their agency of record, we’re looking forward to continuing to build on their momentum.”
